What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Hooray for Hollywood!

We’re in Hollywood tonight on American Idol, and for once I’m not yelling at the TV screen, “Finally!” The three weeks of auditions we sat through I think were doable. And after we were finally done, we didn’t then have to sit through a Best and Worst. The first night is always filled with so much drama. Other than that, I don’t know what is going on with CBS, as they’re airing reruns again.
1. The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Ellen’s guests are Josh Brolin, who’s nominated for an Oscar his role in Milk, and Pink, who performs with Butch Walker. Syndicated, check local listings.
2. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp star as brothers in a very dysfunctional family, with DiCaprio playing the part of a mentally disabled boy, while Depp is saddled with taking care of him. Learn more here . 3:30 PM CT HBO Signature
3. The Biggest Loser: Couples. We get to see the weigh-ins of the partners that returned to the ranch last week, and that could be interesting. They also visit with Dr. Huizenga to update their health status. Two partners will clash over what one of them has been doing. It can’t be Joelle this time. She rocked out last week! 7:00 PM CT NBC
4. Homeland Security USA. A couple traveling to Dubai give different explanations for why they are carrying a large amount of money, a sound coming from a suitcase forces a Miami airport terminal to be evacuated, a package x-rayed in China shows something interesting at a San Francisco mail center, a car is searched on the Texas/Mexico border, and an avian-flu quarantine is called for after a bag is searched in New York. 7:00 PM CT ABC
5. 90210. Adrianna announces she’s pregnant to her mother and the baby’s father. Annie is threatened by the friendship between Ethan and Rhonda, and Silver opens up to Dixon. 7:00 PM CT CW
6. American Idol. It’s the first night of the Hollywood rounds. Check here for a cheat sheet of the contestants we know of that will be there. 7:00 PM CT Fox
7. Waitress. Keri Russell stars as an abused wife who becomes pregnant and searches for a way to escape while working in a diner. Find out what makes this waitress tick. 7:00 PM CT HBO Comedy
8. Scrubs. Because of the pressure mounting on him with his new job, Cox reaches out to Dr. Kelso, his former enemy. 8:00 PM CT ABC
9. Privileged. Charlie announces to Megan he’s going to school in California, then tells her how he feels about her and kisses her. Will confronts him at the going-away party once he earns about it. Rose digs up a family secret, and Sage is afraid Luis will be disappointed to find out she’s a virgin, until she finds out he’s deeply religious. 8:00 PM CT CW
10. Fringe. Another airborne disaster is investigated, and evidence is found of a strange virus, but Olivia and Peter have to go undercover to find the scope of danger that exists with the new threat. 8:01 PM CT Fox
11. Scrubs. Ted needs help making the first move when he falls for a ukulele player, and Cox is overwhelmed with all his responsibilities. 8:30 PM CT ABC
12. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. A mother fingers her ex-con ex husband after her daughter is kidnapped, but soon the girl’s grandfather is pushed to the front of the investigation, once it’s realized he’s a master thief with many enemies, yet he also has really bad Alzheimer’s. 9:00 PM CT NBC
13. Primetime: What Would You Do? Passersby reactions to a baby left alone in a car with the windows rolled up are recorded on camera, and a dog is then left in the same situation. An employer is seen talking down to her employee, a child talks back to the nanny, and being misrepresented through online dating is featured as well. 9:00 PM CT ABC
