What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Three Hours of Lost!

After a long wait, Lost is finally back on, three hours of it tonight. However, the first hour is just a recap of the previous four seasons and an examination of some of the mysteries of the show. If you can tear yourself away from that, we also have our fourth audition night of American Idol, and the premiere of Lie to Me, a new detective show, on right after Idol, with one of those ending/starting times designed to make you miss the beginning of the other networks.
1. Brewster’s Millions. Richard Pryor stars as a man who stands to inherit $300 million, but there’s a catch. He has to first spend $30 million in thirty days, which is harder than it sounds. I miss Richard Pryor. 2:05 PM CT HBO Comedy
2. Superbad. Sometimes I just can’t get enough of Judd Apatow movies. Here’s another one with Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Christopher Mintz-Plazze starring as nerdy high school kids. Like most Apatow films, it’s a little raunchy, but a lot of fun with a sweet side to it, and costars Seth Rogen. 6:00 PM CT Starz 1
3. New Adventures of Old Christine. New Christine has a bachelorette party in Las Vegas, and gets wild, which she didn’t realize she had in her. 7:00 PM CT CBS4. Knight Rider. In the midst of a tragic family event, Sarah leaves town, and as Mike searches for her, he discovers interesting answers about his own past. The NSA gets a green light to activate an evil nemesis to KITT called KARR, and Mike and the others aren’t too happy about it. 7:00 PM CT NBC
5. Lost: Destiny Calls. Don’t get too excited, as this is just a recap of the first four seasons showing the mysteries of the island and profiling the inhabitants, focusing on those that were rescued, the Oceanic 6. Also included are the possible reasons for Charles Widmore’s interest in the island and Ben’s motives. 7:00 PM CT ABC
6. 13 – Fear Is Real. One of the contestants disappears as the killer strikes, leaving a bloody glove behind. Is it O.J.? A terrifying scavenger hunt follows. I wonder if that includes a white Bronco. 7:00 PM CT CW
7. American Idol. Tonight the auditions are coming out of Louisville, and I hope they’re a tad better than what we saw in San Francisco last night. 7:00 PM CT Fox
8. Gary Unmarried. Gary is forced to move back in with Allison temporarily after she ends up accidentally flooding the first floor of his house. 7:30 PM CT
9. Criminal Minds. A family are the likely suspects, as the team believes they are working together to abduct young women. 8:00 PM CT CBS
10. Lost. Finally, here’s the season premiere. Jack and Ben work on reuniting the Oceanic 6 to return to the island in order to save the others, whil ethe survivors feel the effects of the island’s move, then are attacked by unknown forces. Hurley and Sayid are on the lam from police, and Kate gets shocking advice from an old friend which will be sure to make “the lie” remain safe. 8:00 PM CT ABC
11. Lie to Me. It’s the pilot for this show about Dr. Cal Lightman who is an expert in how emotions are shown by facial expressions and body language, and he uses this talent to solve cases for the police and others that may hire him. Tonight, a high school teacher is murdered, with one of her students running from her house, and the chairman of hte House Ethics Committee is accused of doing business with a prostitute. 8:03 PM CT Fox
12. CSI: NY. The CSI team are faced with a human jigsaw puzzle with severed body parts of a popular wrestling coach found buried around the city. It’s up to Don to explain how a teen suspected died while in his custody. 9:00 PM CT CBS
13. Law & Order. Married biologists discover their son and housekeeper have been murdered in their home, leading to an investigation that has the wife going back to her sorority days. 9:00 PM CT NBC
