What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Scrubs Is On the Move!

Scrubs makes it’s move from NBC to ABC tonight and features it’s new star, Courtney Cox, appearing as Dr. Maddox. Let’s see how ABC does with these leftovers. We have a lot of other new programming on tonight, with CBS now getting into it with new shows, but now Fox is laying down and taking a rest. I’m guessing they’re figuring they can just coast until American Idol starts.
1. Regis and Kelly. Guests today are Kate Hudson, promoting new film Bride Wars starring alongside Anne Hathaway, and Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser offering fitness tips and promoting The Biggest Loser: Couples starting tonight. Syndicated, check local listings.
2. The Bonnie Hunt Show. This will be an interesting episode, as the guests are Brian Williams, Christine Lahti, and singers Rocco DeLuca and Jillian Leigh. Bonnie has mentioned several times on the show her crush on Williams. It’ll be interesting to see if it comes up at all today.
3. NCIS. As the team is investigating the murder of a women’s prison guard, McGee gets trapped as the inmates riot and take over the prison. 7:00 PM CT CBS
4. The Biggest Loser: Couples. It’s season 7 of the weight loss show, and it’s coming off a great season 6 that just eneded a month ago. This season is reported to have the oldest and heaviest contestants ever. With the health problems seen in the last season, it makes me wonder what we’ll see with the oldest and youngest. 7:00 PM CT NBC
5. Homeland Security USA. It’s a series premiere of this new reality show that focuses on the internal and external threats to the United States. Tonight we’ll see a search for undocumented immigrants along the United States and Mexico border, and attempteds by smugglers to sneak drugs in from Canada by putting them in baby diapers. Gee, that stinks! (Sorry, couldn’t resist!) 7:00 PM CT ABC
6. 90210. The zip code is back! Annie’s suspicion of new brother Sean grows after she overhears him on the phone, Brenda spills a secret to Kelly that she’s been holding onto for a long time, and Dixon doesn’t tell Silver, but accepts an invitation from Christina. 7:00 PM CT CW
7. Amityville Horror. It’s one of the classic horror films, at least of my time, based on Jay Anson’s bestselling book. James Brolin, Rod Steiger, and Margot Kidder star. 7:00 PM CT Showtime Beyond
8. The Mentalist. After Jane learns that a convicted killer can give him information on Red John, Jane quits the CBI to prove that the convicted killer is innocent. 8:00 PM CT CBS
9. Scrubs. Courtney Cox joins the cast as Dr. Maddox, Kelso’s replacement, and makes some changes to Sacred Heart. J.D. is frustrated with the competence level of the new interns, and Elliott works on controlling her ego. 8:00 PM CT ABC
10. Privileged. Megan confronts her mother about the hurt and anger she feels over being abandoned, then gets a call that Lily is in jail. Rose conjures up the idea to host a charity dinner as a way to get Sage and Luis to spend more time togehter, Marco’s boyfriend wants him to quit his job and open his own café, and Mandy isn’t happy to hear Charlie is going back to school. 8:00 PM CT CW
11. Scrubs. J.D. and Turk put their steak night tradition on hold to comfort a dying patient. Dr. Maddox’s true character is revealed. 8:30 PM CT ABC
12. Without a Trace. The team discovers a missing teen has a secret life when they investigate her appearance after she was seen last being picked up from school by her mom.. 9:00 PM CT CBS
13. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. A teenage girl returns home to her family after a four year absence because of a kidnapping. Benson and Stabler try to jar her memory to remember details of her abduction and find holes in her story. Maybe she was hiding out with the missing girl from Without a Trace. 9:00 PM CT NBC
14. Primetime: What Would You Do? It’s the season opener for the second season of this hidden-camera show. The scenarios tonight include a date rape drug being slipped into a drink, Latino customers with broken English being treated rudely when ordering at a New Jersey deli, and American tourists behaving boorishly in Paris. Can you imagine Allen Funt being behind these? 9:00 PM CT ABC
