The Bachelor - Just When You Thought There’d Be No Excitement

Just when you think The Bachelor isn’t proving to be that exciting of a season, they stick something in at the end that has the ladies gasping and in tears, and Jason Mesnick looking like he’s ready to hurl himself over the railing. The last thirty seconds of the season’s preview tonight were the most exciting of all.

Compared to some of the more recent seasons, there just didn’t seem to be too much excitement. No one was slipping Jason their underwear and no one was passing out before the rose ceremony because of too much champagne. No one stripped down and jumped in the pool, and no one was showing off with pushups. All the ladies tonight seemed to be on their best behavior. While it’s good for them, we’d kind of gotten used to those shocking introducing shows. The most excitement we had was a woman that assured Jason she wasn’t a stalker, yet knew everything about him down to the name of his brother’s current date, and another woman cutting in on the Brazilian’s salsa dance.

I have to admit, though, that Jason made some puzzling picks as well that only seemed to lead to the lack of excitement. There are always some ladies that just don’t seem to stand out enough and that you figure are going home first in the bunch. Nothing against the plain janes of this world, as I see myself in that category as well (and the quiz I took today comparing me to Debbie Reynolds certainly seemed to back that up), but they just don’t seem as exciting as the stunning women that appear on The Bachelor, and they usually don’t get picked. Yet here was Jason selecting a few of them to move on. Editing didn’t even show that much of the women, as it seemed like they didn’t find them all that exciting either.

And just when we thought it was going to be safe to watch this season with no big drama, what do we see in the final thirty seconds of previews but the return of Deanna Pappas. I wanted to take off my glasses and go put my contact lenses back in. I didn’t think I was seeing this right. At some point this season, and from the number of ladies around, it looks like it’ll be sooner rather than later, Denna comes back to tell Jason she thinks she may have made a mistake in turning down his marriage proposal. Ya think? Did the hords of fans petitioning to get Jason on as The Bachelor because they felt so bad for him after you let him propose then told him you were in love with someone else cause you to think you may have possibly erred?

Jason does not look happy in these previews to have Deanna up in his face again. It seemed clear that despite the fact he started the show saying he had proposed to two women in his life, and one he would never regret since it led to his life with son Ty, and the other seemed to work out for the better, he was quite upset about her throwing him for this loop. We never see her in any shots other than those, so does she come back and try to win him back and editing is fooling us, or does he give her the boot? I have to think if he does give her the boot, telling her she had her chance, it could be the best ratings ever for this show.

Then it set me to wondering, when Deanna came back and met Jesse Csincsak in the airport and broke up with him at the luggage counter, was she coming back from meeting Jason? Or did breaking up with him cause her to go visit Jason at the Bachelor’s mansion? We need to know when she visited Jason, before or afer she broke off her engagement with Jesse. And how is Jesse going to feel now watching this?

I know it has all already happened, but Jason, I certainly hope you kicked her to the curb. I don’t think Deanna deserves a second chance.

Deanna needs to G-O! I am so sick of seeing her on television. The girl has no idea what she wants. First it’s Brad, and she’s all heartbroken, begs him back on “After The Rose Ceremony”….then she gets her own show, complately leads Jason on and chooses Jesse (whom I LOVE, by the way)…And now she shows up AGAIN and wants Jason, syaing she’s made a mistake?? Give it UP already - GO HOME! Every one is sick of you!! I can hardly fathom the thought of watching her constantly blinking eyes for yet another season. I’m really disappointed ABC let her come back….

Deanna? Yeah, right. She’s a boring, thick, boring loser. Shocking that Jesse had any real interest in her empty personality. I’m sure she is on this newest Jason Bachelor as a ratings boost for this show, prompted and paid for by the producers.
