What’s Hot On TV Tonight - More Football, No Hangovers
We have even more Bowl games to watch today and tonight but luckily, no hangovers … hopefully. And if you are hanging still, you’ll have a very long day at work today. There isn’t a whole lot on today, but we do have a few interesting movies, the aforementioned bowl game, and a few episodes of original programming tonight. After not seeing Deal or No Deal for a few weeks, it’s on yet again tonight. We also have an episode of Lipstick Jungle which is actually on its way out the door, and a little 20/20 as well.
1. The Money Pit. As we ring in the new year, and we’re thinking about all the changes we want to make, let’s seriously think twice about changing our house. We don’t want to wind up like Shelley Long and Tom Hanks. 3:35 PM CT Retro
2. Liberty Bowl: East Carolina vs. Kentucky. Each of these two teams won in bowl games last year, and this time they both have very strong defenses. It should make for a great game in Memphis. 4:00 PM CT ESPN
3. The Number 23. Jim Carrey stars in this really spooky movie. It’s completely creepy as he gets more and more paranoid thinking this number is coming after him. 4:50 PM CT HBO Zone
4. Deal or No Deal. Going for the million dollar briefcase we have a female drag racer and an Iowan farmer/grandmother. The latter ought to be good fodder for Howie. 7:00 PM CT NBC
5. Sugar Bowl: Utah vs. Alabama. From New Orleans, this is the first time these two teams have played each other, and the second time Utah has made it to a BCS bowl game in five years. 7:15 PM CT Fox
6. Lipstick Jungle. Victory has a proposal for Joe, Wendy isn’t happy about Steve considering touring with Natasha Bedingfield, and Nico and Griffin bond with problems at work. Like Knight Rider last night, this show is on its way out the door, so it seems like an odd time to air new episodes again. 8:00 PM CT NBC
7. 20/20. “Extreme mothering” is the topic as we take looks into home birthing, serial surrogacy, women caring for pretend babies, extended breastfeeding, and making childbirth pleasurable. I challenge anyone to make that one happy for me. 9:00 PM CT ABC
8. Tucker: The Man and His Dream. I find this interesting not only because it happens to be my last name, but also because it’s fascinating to me how this whole line of cars came out, only to not exist anymore. With the economy and production the way it is, I wonder if anyone could really start a car company similar to this anymore. 10:15 PM CT HBO Family
