What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Reruns, Movies, Game Shows, and Reality TV

You’re not going to get a lot tonight if you’re looking for comedy or drama in the way of regular primetime programming that isn’t a repeat. But if you’re open to watching some movies, you’ll find plenty. Other than that, we have a few reality TV shows and game shows. An interesting movie you might want to catch is Resurrecting the Champ. I caught it at the theater, and it didn’t do to well, but I thought Samuel L. Jackson should have at least been nominated for an Oscar for this.
1. Alice In Wonderland. For a nice change, Disney is reaching beyond the animated films of the last twenty years and opting instead to air this 1951 classic. 9:30 AM CT Disney
2. Back to the Future. Oddly, despite, or perhaps because of, the fact this movie deals with time travel, it withstands the test of time. “Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.” 1:15 PM CT Encore East
3. Resurrecting the Champ. A sportswriter looking for his big break develops a feature around a homeless man who claims he was once a famous champion in the ring, only to have the article change his life in ways he wasn’t planning on. Stars Samuel L. Jackson and Josh Hartnett. 3:55 PM CT Starz 1 West
4. Greatest Holiday Moments: Hilarious Home Video Moments. So how does this differ from a special holiday version of America’s Funniest Home Videos other than the network and the fact the studio audience doesn’t get to vote on a winner? 7:00 PM CT NBC
5. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Johnny Depp set the mark as a pirate here, starring with Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, and Geoffrey Rush. 7:00 PM CT ABC
6. Return to Never Land. Just in case you’re not sick of pirates, here’s Disney’s animated sequel to Peter Pan with Captain Hook kidnapping an adult Wendy. 7:00 PM CT Disney
7. Deal or No Deal. A barber from Ohio makes deals to win two million dollars and even receives help from NBA star Kobe Bryant. 8:00 PM CT NBC
8. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. John C. Reilly stars in this film that is somewhat of a takeoff on Walk the Line. It’s yet another Jude Apatow movie, which gives you a clue that you’re in for some crude, although good, humor. 8:00 PM CT Starz 2
9. Momma’s Boys. The “bachelorettes” (for lack of a better term) will participate in a cooking competition, to be judged by the three bachelors and Chef Tyler Florence. The winner gets to keep information about herself private, while the others must divulge all to the moms. 9:00 PM CT NBC
10. William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. It’s the classic story brought up to date in the 1990s starring Leonardo diCaprio and Claire Danes.
