What’s Hot On TV Tonight - White Christmas

white-christmas-danny-kaye-bing-crosby.jpgI’m not sure why, but I never even saw White Christmas until I was a young adult. Nevertheless once I saw it with my sister, I was hooked. I now watch it every year. There’s plenty of other hot TV on today as well, including several college football games where they’re still fighting to make it to championships and bowl appearances. Oddly, we have several intrastate matchups with Georgia Tech at Georgia, Florida at Florida State, etc.

1. College Football: Georgia Tech at Georgia. The Bulldogs won the last time these two teams met up, but they’re completely out of the SEC race, with Georgia Tech still having a chance at the ACC title, meaning they have a little more to play for. 11:00 PM CT CBS

2. College Football: Grambling State vs. Southern. It’s the 35th Bayou Classic coming out of New Orleans, Louisiana, known for the football as much as the marching band performances seen and heard at halftime. 1:00 PM CT NBC

3. College Football: Auburn at Alabama. The Heart of Dixie features the Iron Bowl, with Auburn still looking for bowl position, and Alabama, undefeated, is looking to make it to the BCS championship. 2:30 PM CT CBS

4. College Football: Florida at Florida State. It’s the battle of the Sunshine State. The Gators are already locked in for a place in the SEC title game, but are looking for a spot in the BCS championship as well. The Seminoles have been inconsistent this year. 2:30 PM CT ABC

5. Secondhand Lions. A boy is dropped off by his mother at the ranch owned by his oddball uncles that he hardly knows. While life here is much different than anything he knows, he starts to find some things he never had before. 4:00 PM CT TBS

6. Along Came Polly. Ben Stiller stars as an uptight insurance guy who falls for Jennifer Anniston, the complete opposite of him, then working on learning to loosen up a little bit more. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Debra Messing, Alec Baldwin, and Hank Azaria also star. 7:00 PM CT NBC

7. College Football: Oklahoma at Oklahoma State. The Sooners are looking for a win to get a shot at the BCS title game, and the Cowboys hope to get an even better bowl position. 7:00 PM CT ABC

8. 48 Hours Mystery. A teen is tried and convicted of a gruesome murder, but the same investigators that put him away now want to prove he didn’t do it. 8:00 PM CT CBS

9. America’s Most Wanted. Two arrests are featured, that of a man accused of a 1967 murder of a 14-year-old girl from Ohio, and a man accused of arson that killed his roommate in an assisted living facility. The search is on for the third suspect in the September 2008 murder of a former Baltimore city councilman, and a former Chicago cop wanted on racketeering and drug charges. 8:00 PM CT Fox

10. White Christmas. One of my favorites Christmas movies. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye star as two old Army buddies that team up with two singing sisters, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen, to form a new act. 8:00 PM CT Lifetime

11. Notting Hill. Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant star in this movie about an actress that falls in love with a British book store owner, despite their differences. 9:30 PM CT Oxygen.
