I guess they think all we want to do is shop on Black Friday. Maybe this is their plan to help the economy, not put a whole lot on TV in hopes that it forces us out of our houses to go spend some money. The only new programming we have on regular prime time is Everybody Love Chris, The Game, and 20/20. But there’s some good college football this afternoon and some classic movies scattered throughout the day as well.

1. College Football: West Virginia at Pittsburgh. The Panthers knocked the Mountaineers out of playoff contention last year, and it’s a good guess that West Virginia is now looking for a little revenge. 11:00 AM CT ABC

2. College Football: LSU at Arkansas. LSU won the matchup last season, but neither of these two teams is doing all that particularly well this season. Is Arkansas looking for revenge like West Virginia? 1:30 PM CT CBS

3. College Football: Colorado at Nebraska. Colorado needs this if they want to make it to a bowl game this year. They won the matchup last year, but Nebraska has an offense ranked ninth overall in the nation. 2:30 PM CT ABC

4. Elf. Will Ferrell portrays a man who is raised by elves at the North Pole, but he searches for his humble beginnings, out to find his birth father in New York City. 6:00 PM CT USA

5. August Rush. This is a great movie that just seems to back up everything I believe about everything happening for a reason. A young boy growing up in an orphanage knows somehow that if he follows the music he hears in his head, it will somehow reunite him with his parents that he doesn’t know, two people that haven’t seen each other since the night he was conceived. 6:30 PM CT HBO 2 West

6. The Polar Express. Tom Hanks voices the train conductor in this animated film about a young boy who is picked up by a train that is headed straight to the North Pole. 7:00 PM CT ABC

7. Everybody Hates Chris. Julius picks us some marriage tips from watching Oprah Winfrey, but Rochelle misunderstands his intentions, thinking he’s covering for having an affair. Chris volunteers for a Big Brother program, finding a little brother that is quite surprising. 7:00 PM CT CW

8. The Game. Tasha starts to think her relationship with Rick Fox has not future, so begins dating other men. Jason tries to fix his relationship with his daughter, but she’s still blaming him for the separation from her mom. 7:30 PM CT CW

9. 20/20. Foreign adoptions are explored and investigated, as we see yet another side of it as we aren’t always offering them a better home over here than what they had to begin with. 9:00 PM CT ABC

10. Rudy. One of the best football movies of all time. This guy had everything stacked against him, yet found a way to do it. Academically he wasn’t anywhere close to where he needed to be to be accepted to Notre Dame, and athletically he was an overachiever at best. But …. he did it. 9:00 PM CT MTV
