What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Starting the Holidays a Little Early
Okay, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but already our TV sets are being deluged with holiday shows. And I mean deluged. I’ve been trying to ignore it work it in slowly. Consider this your warning. I succumbed today while driving and even turned on the radio station that is already playing holiday music. So I have one movie on the schedule here. Expect them to increase from hereon out, ever so slowly.
1. Grease. You know what they say … Grease is the word. A true classic, whether it’s the movie or the musical. True story, I was once a beauty school dropout. Meaning in the play, not in real life. 9:20 AM CT Comedy
2. a/k/a Tommy Chong. Dave’s not here. This is a documentary of sorts on the drug paraphernalia case against Tommy Chong that sent him to prison. 1:15 PM CT Showtime East
3. Overboard. A comedy starring real life couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, and it’s just good Saturday afternoon fun. Several good lines in this, but this is by far the best, “I was a short … fat … slut.” 4:30 PM CT A&E
4. College Football: Texas Tech at Oklahoma. This Big 12 matchup has big implications, as Texas Tech could clinch the South Division title if they win. Both teams have high-scoring offenses, so expect some big numbers. 7:00 PM CT ABC
5. Cops. Tonight we have a guy that tells the deputies that the drugs they found on him were planted by the police, officers investigating gunshots that were heard, and a suspect being pulled over for driving erratically. 7:00 PM CT Fox
6. America’s Most Wanted. Drug smuggling among Haitian refugees, with reports of some dying at sea, a taxi driver from Texas wanted for murdering his teen daughters, and an update on the murder of Randi Gorenberg who was last seen at a shopping mall. 8:00 PM CT Fox
7. The Santa Clause. Okay, why not? Let’s get in the Christmas spirit a little early, shall we? This is a great flick that even had me questioning the existence of Santa Claus, not to mention my kids. 8:00 PM CT Disney
8. 48 Hours Mystery. It could be the mortgage banker himself that is killing everyone. This financial crisis is bad enough; can you imagine if your banker killed you on top of it all? 9:00 PM CT CBS
9. Saturday Night Live. Tim McGraw is the host, with musical guests Lucacris and T-Pain. 10:35 PM CT NBC
