What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Are We Sure It’s Sweeps?

Published by laurabelle at 7:57 am under Programming Edit This

20542__will_l.jpgNormally throughout November it’s sweeps month, but I just don’t see that caliber of TV on the past few weeks. Normally you see a show and think, oh I get it … it’s Sweeps! But I don’t really see that too much, other than a few things like Anthony Edwards being on ER. Reality TV of course is booming, as this is when we start to get close to finales, such as on Dancing With the Stars, and today on The Doctors, it’s a real reality TV star bonanza.

1. The Bonnie Hunt Show. Florence Henderson is among the guests and I can’t wait to hear how she dishes about what was said in Maureen McCormick’s autobiography. Should be interesting. I’d like even more to hear her and Bonnie’s mom who checks in by the wonders of internet video today both chip in. Syndicated, check local listings.

2. The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Kate Walsh is on, as well as a young piano prodigy, Emily Bear, and Brooke Burke and Derek Hough from Dancing With the Stars. She’ll definitely make it to the finale three. The only question is if she’ll win. Syndicated, check local listings.

3. The Doctors. It’s a reality TV bonanza today! Not only do we have starring on this show Travis Stork, a past Bachelor, who is reportedly dating Carrie Underwood, winner of American Idol, but guesting on the show is Dr. Will Kirby, winner of Big Brother. Sheila from Big Brother 9 will reportedly be in the audience asking questions. Find out more info here. Syndicated, check local listings.

4. The Big Bang Theory. Wolowitz believes he has found his soulmate, but all that changes when the woman meets Leonard. 7:00 PM CT CBS

5. Chuck. Chuck is assigned to track down an untrustworthy C.I.A. agent, causing he and Jill to put their renewed relationship on hold, but they face a personal obstacle as well. Jill’s jealousy gets much worse once she finally comes face to face with Sarah. The corporate efficiency expert at Buy More is hostile towards Chuck and tries to take the Nerd Herder down. 7:00 PM CT NBC

6. Dancing With the Stars. The last few weeks we pretty much knew who was going, and I hate to realize it, but I think that means Cody Linley is going home this week. It will be a shame since Julianne Hough is making her return as his partner, but I just don’t see him toppling Lance Bass, Brooke Burke, or Warren Sapp. 7:00 PM CT ABC

7. Gossip Girl. The Waldorf Thanksgiving traditions face changes, thanks to Cyrus, upsetting Blair. Lily acts as peacemaker to Rufus and Jenny, Nate deals with his father with help from Chuck and Blair, Serena isn’t sure if she should be honest about her past to to Aaron, and Eric finds out a secret about Bart. 7:00 PM CT CW

8. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Sarah wonders about her nightmares, especially once they begin to take over her awake hours as well, and a possible Skynet conspirator is tracked by Derek and Jesse. Celebrity Today will have catch get you up-to-date if you’re falling behind on this show. 7:00 PM CT Fox

9. How I Met Your Mother. Robin has a reunion with an old group of girlfriends that liked to party called “The Woo Girls.” Ted submits a design idea to Barney. 7:30 PM CT CBS

10. Monday Night Football: Browns at Bills. Despite the fact Cleveland won it’s first Monday Night Football game last month, it’s still only having a 3-6 sesaon. With a win, maybe they can make the switch from a team that can never win on Monday Night to a team that can only win on Monday Night. 7:30 PM CT ESP N

11. Two and a Half Men. Charlie’s new girlfirend wants him to have a sleepover with her, and Alan tries to hand down a punishment to Jake. 8:00 PM CT CBS

12. Heroes. Knox and Flint are sent by Arthur to go after Peter and Claire, Nathan finds out the truth about his father, and at Pinehurst, Sylar confronts Elle. Suresh tests out his new formula, and Matt tries to revive Angela. 8:00 PM CT NBC

13. One Tree Hill. Lucas turns Karen’s Cafe into a nightclub, as this episode reflects back on films from the 1940s. 8:00 PM CT CW

14. Prison Break. Gretchen works on getting the sixth card, and Lisa Tabak sets plans to move Scylla, while the gang still gets to the room where Scylla is anyway. Michael agrees to see a specialist even though he doesn’t want to, and T-Bag’s boss has a tempting offer for him. 8:00 PM CT Fox

15. Worst Week. When Sam’s politically incorrect dad and excitable mom come to visit his future in-laws, he and Mel panic. Knowing Sam, it’s probably for good reason. 8:30 PM CT CBS

16. Samantha Who? Owen’s ex and Todd see romantic sparks, and when Sam gets jealous, she must decide which guy is more important to her. With Andrea wanting a date with a basketball player she’s attracted to, Dena attempts to take a photo of her that’s more flattering. 8:30 PM CT ABC

17. CSI: Miami. Horatio and the others search for the murderer who has now kidnapped a baby, as they’re afraid they might be faced with yet another victim. 9:00 PM CT CBS

18. My Own Worst Enemy. Wanting to find out about his past, Edward makes a deal with a KGB agent. Henry is thinking Angie could be a spy and has Dr. Skinner check it out for him. 9:00 PM NBC

19. Boston Legal. Carl and Denny travel to Virginia to help in the defense of a prison guard that shot an inmate on death row when the lethal injection didn’t kill him right away. With a woman reporting to have lost a job because she voted for McCain, Alan and Shirley help her with her case. There actually was a case of a woman refusing to give Halloween candy to the children of Obama supporters. Ripped from the headlines? 9:00 PM CT ABC
