What’s Hot On TV Tonight - What Do a Mr. Olympia Candidate and Vince Neil Have In Common?
I’m not too happy that the weekend after the big election Saturday Night Live is a repeat. I suppose they overworked them too hard with weekday episodes as well the past month, but why not do a repeat the week after? Are they waiting for Amy Poehler to come off maternity leave? Instead, 48 Hours Mystery looks like a good one tonight with a murder that involves a Mr. Olympia candidate, his wife, an assistant, and Vince Neil of Motley Crue.
1. Mr. Mom. I love Michael Keaton in this. I’m not sure whatever happened to him, but I would love for him to make a return to movies. Watching him was like having a woobie. 12:40 (or 12:45, whatever it takes) PM CT Retro
2. Kristi Yamaguchi Friends and Family. The champion skater puts on an exhibition along with fellow skaters Jamie Sale, David Pelletier, Nancy Kerrigan, Viktor Petrenko, and Michael Weiss. Do you think Kristin will infuse into her routines things she learned on Dancing With the Stars? The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato perform as well. 3:00 PM CT NBC
3. Cast Away. The movie starring Tom Hanks and a soccer ball. It really is a good flick, though, as you watch him slowly grow with dementia without any luxuries and with no one to talk to, marooned alone. 4:00 PM CT TNT
4. CSI: NY. Many dead sharks appear along with a dead real estate agent on the shore of a beach, leading the CSIs to investigate. 7:00 PM CT CBS
5. College Football: Oklahoma State at Texas Tech. It’s a showdown of opposing top receivers, Dez Bryant and Mike Crabtree. In the showdown last year, Texas’ quarterback threw for 646 yards. 7:00 PM CT ABC
6. 90210. CW got smart and put this show on a night when there are mostly repeats of other shows. Tonight, Annie and Dixon feel differently hearing about Harry’s son he put up for adoption long ago. Annie lets go of her feelings about it at a sleepover that turns into a drinking party, but Dixon doesn’t seem to mind as much. Also, Ryan and Kimberly are caught in the act. Celebrity Today will be along to update you this weekend. 7:00 PM CT CW
7. Cops. It’s another new episode, with a hit-and-run suspect as well as an out-of-control suspect in Las Vegas, and then it’s on to Rancho Cucamonga for a domestic violence case where the guy wants to be locked up. 7:00 PM CT Fox
8. Privileged. Laurel discovers Megan’s biography idea and takes over, hiring a ghostwriter. Megan keeps researching, though, and finds out a secret from Laurel’s past. Sage gets together with a publicist to discuss her modeling career, and Charlie likes his options better with Mandy than with Megan. 8:00 PM CT CW
9. America’s Most Wanted. No, you don’t have the wrong channel and wrong night, and no this isn’t Cold Case. But an unsolved mystery is highlighted, that of a 19-year-old abducted from a bowling alley in 1994, with her body being found a year later. 8:00 PM CT Fox
10. 48 Hours Mystery. A Mr. Olympia competitor and his similar hard body wife are involved when his car winds up with a charred body inside. It was thought to be his wife, but it turns out to be their live-in assistant. Vince Neil of Motley Crue admits on camera that the Mr. Olympia competitor injected himself and Neil with steroids. 9:00 PM CT CBS
11. Good Will Hunting/A Beautiful Mind Double Header. It’s not billed as such, but I just couldn’t pass by these two back to back movies about really smart people will brilliant minds, both Oscar-winning. Begins at 10:00 PM CT TNT
