Whats Hot On TV

I’m calling for us all to watch Deal or No Deal tonight, or at least DVR it and watch it later in the weekend. Reportedly, the ratings for this are down, and I have to admit I haven’t watched once this season, while I used to be a dedicated viewer. Why is that? Are we all bored with it?

1. The Money Pit. Anybody that buys a new house and has seen this movie always thinks of it those first few months, and anyone that has to do a large amount of repairs on their house, no matter how long they’ve lived there, thinks of this movie too. 9:45 AM Encore 3

2. Tyra Banks. Guests are Miley Cyrus and Samuel L. Jackson. What a pair they are. She’s promoting the animated movie Bolt she’s voicing in two weeks, and he’s promoting Soul Men that opens today. 3. Ghost Whisperer. A ghost appearing as a child’s make-believe friend causes trouble at a wedding, and Melinda plays hide and seek with it to calm the situation. Celebrity Today has weekly coverage of this series. 7:00 PM CT CBS

4. Deal or No Deal. A hot dog vendor and a Pennsylvanian teacher are vying to win $2 million. I’m have to start DVRing it. I love Howie. Somewhere I still have on VHS a Young Comedians thing he did on HBO about twenty years ago. 7:00 PM CT NBC

5. Wife Swap. It’s the opposite mom again as one who is very strict and overbearing swaps places with one who is much more of a free spirit. 7:00 PM CT ABC

6. Everybody Hates Chris. It gets difficult for Chris when Doc’s bossy girlfriend keeps giving him senseless chores to do at the store. Tanya wants attention at school, so starts wearing a bra, but Julius is the one to get in trouble when Rochelle finds the bra hidden in his sock drawer. 7:00 PM CT CW

7. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? Gene Simmons is now moving from rock band, to his own reality show, to Celebrity Apprentice, to proving he’s smarter than a 5th grader. 7:00 PM CT Fox

8. Die Hard. Yippee Kae Yay.  It’s the original! 7:00 PM CT Encore East

9. The Game. Trying to put the marital problems away for awhile, Kelly goes out with some old high school friends. Jason goes to Malik’s wild party, but regrets it later. 7:30 PM CT CW

10. Crusoe. Crusoe and Friday discover a boat stuck up in a tree, and once they retrieve it, they try to repair it and find a compass that still works. 8:00 PM CT NBC

11. Supernanny. A couple is separated and leaning towards divorce, but their two kids struggle with the new living situation of still spending time all together, but living apart. Jo swoops in to help. 8:00 PM CT ABC

12. Don’t Forget the Lyrics. En Vogue reunites for the show to play the game and raise money for charity. 8:00 PM CT Fox

13. Freaky Friday. Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis star as a mother and daughter who switch bodies. As a mother of a teen and tween, I can relate. I learned from this that I could take my son’s door off his bedroom. Doors are a privilege. 8:00 PM CT Disney

14. NUMB3RS. A female magician never reappears after her disappearing act on stage with David in the audience, prompting Don to investigate. Penn Jillette appears as himself. 9:00 PM CT CBS

15. Lipstick Jungle. Nico meets Kirby’s mother. Victory attempts to concentrate on work, but she needs input from Joe who seems to be avoiding her. Shane gets a new manager, piquing Wendy’s jealousy. Rosaanna Arquette and Vanessa Marcil appear, with cameos from Tiki Barber, James Blake, David Lee, and Amani Tooter. 9:00 PM CT NBC

16. The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. The guests are Christian Slater and Eric Hutchinson. All Slater. All the time. If he’s appearing anywhere on my dial, I’m watching him. Kind of funny we still refer to it as the “dial.” How long has it been since we owned TVs with dials to turn the channels? I think I finally got rid of my little black and white twenty years ago? Or is that in the attic? 11:35 PM CT CBS
