What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Oprah Checks In to 30 Rock
Can I just say I love the clip they keep showing on the commercial for Oprah’s appearance on 30 Rock? Tina Fey does her Oprah impression so well, I keep thinking it’s actually Oprah saying it. I’ll admit I’ve never given 30 Rock a chance before, only because I DVR everything and start late, and just go from Survivor to ER, but I’ll be trying it tonight. Besides, I won’t get my weekly fill of Fey on SNL anymore.
1. St. Elmo’s Fire. Here’s an oldie but goodie they don’t repeat often. I haven’t watched it in awhile, but it’s probably one of the more dated Brat Pack movies. Interesting to see where their careers have gone since this. 8:00 PM CT Oxygen
2. A Goofy Movie. I’m not sure why, but I just love this movie about Goofy and his son bonding. I used to watch it with my kids constantly. Even though it’s been a few years, I think if I watch it again, I’d still know all the songs by heart. 11:00 AM CT Disney
3. The Bonnie Hunt Show. Mauren McCormick, aka Marcia Brady, is on talking about her autobiography where she discusses her drug use, dating Barry Williams, and using sex to get drugs. Wouldn’t you love to see the parental chat between her and Mr. and Mrs. Brady on this! Syndicated, check local listings.
4. Survivor: Gabon - Earth’s Last Eden. It’s down to the final ten, and I’m thinking with the scenes we saw last week, it has to be a merge this week, or at least one of those faked merges that Jeff Probst oh so loves to pull off. “Did I ever actually mention the word “merge” to you guys?” 7:00 PM CT CBS
5. My Name Is Earl. When a man full of mystery moves into the neighborhood, Earl is forced to bump an item to the top of his list. Joy wants to win the prize money at the science fair and becomes preoccupied with it. 7:00 PM CT NBC
6. Ugly Betty. Betty works on impressing Jesse, her neighbor, Amanda searches for a new place to live because of financial troubles, and Mark and Cliff discuss possibly moving in together. Celebrity Today will go into this more in depth after the show. 7:00 PM CT ABC
7. Smallville. Clark gets the Arctic Crystal anonymously delivered to him, and it sends him and Lois to the Phantom Zone as they run into Kara. She returns Lois to Earth, but accidentally releases Zod’s wife, who wreaks havoc on Metropolis, taking over Lois’ body. 7:00 PM CT CW
8. Kitchen Nightmares. Chef Ramsay visits a French Bistro in New Jersey, owned by a couple of friends that lack motivation and experience. Employee paychecks are bouncing, and Ramsay finds something disgusting that forces him to shut the place down on Valentine’s day. Valentine’s Day, but it’s a new episode? How long were they holding this one in the can? 7:00 PM CT Fox
9. Kath & Kim. After she hides a secret of her own, Kath worries Phil might be keeping secrets as well. In order to force Craig into getting rid of his dog to get her back, Kim goes speed dating with a friend. 7:30 PM CT NBC
10. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Investigating a case of sexual domination and a seemingly upright man (no pun intended), Grissom seeks help from Lady Heather. 8:00 PM CT CBS
11. The Office. Shocking results come with the annual customer survey report, especially for Dwight and Jim. Jim and Pam, separated, try to spend all their time on the phone together. Wedding plans continues for Angela and Andy, as they choose an unusal place for the ceremony. 8:00 PM CT NBC
12. Grey’s Anatomy. Chaos ensues when the residents are told by the Chief that one of them will be doing a surgery solo. Derek gets advice from Bailey, feeling that Cristina is coming in between him and Meredith, and Erica is shocked to discover a connection between a longtime resident and a patient. 8:00 PM CT ABC
13. Supernatural. When a girl’s teddy bear comes to life, someone wins the lottery, and a geek gets a gorgeous girlfriend, it’s determined a wishing well really does work. Sam and Dean aren’t as euphoric about the happenings, knowing that the line between reality and fantasy is becoming blurred. Celebrity Today will help sort all this out later in the week. 8:00 PM CT CW
14. Kitchen Nightmares. On the second new episode of the night, Chef Ramsay goes to a waterfront restaurant that doesn’t have fresh seafood, and like most of them, also has an inattentive management. The manager’s only focus seems to be on excessive socializing with the patrons. 8:00 PM CT Fox
15. 30 Rock. Tina Fey’s second life as a vice presidential candidate now over, tonight she runs into Oprah Winfrey on an airplane. Tracy and Jenna, feuding, switch roles to figure out whose life is harder. Kenneth and an Olympic debacle test Jack’s value system. 8:30 PM CT NBC
16. Eleventh Hour. A lethal virus is discovered at a demolition site in Pittsburgh, and Hood works to find a way to keep it contained before it spreads. 9:00 PM CT CBS
17. ER. Morris becomes mentor to Chaz because of Pratt’s death, but Banfield disagrees with what he’s teaching him. Banfield is apparently the woman of the hour as Neela feels disrespected by her. 9:00 PM CT NBC
18. Life On Mars. Racial tensions occur between the black and Puerto Rican communities when a black girl is thrown off a roof. Sam works on this along with Officer Fletcher who becomes his mentor later in 2008, but at this point doesn’t know him. 9:00 PM CT ABC
19. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Jay’s guests are Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jimmie Johnson, and little David Archuleta. 10:35 PM CT NBC

I’ve always meant to catch 30 Rock as well…maybe this will be my week too!
I just don’t know how I’m going to survive now that the Palin impressions are over on SNL…don’t get me wrong, better that than the four-year alternative.
