What’s Hot On TV Tonight - A Lohan Film Fest

georgia-rule.jpgWe’re going to start and end our day with Lindsay. There are a lot of reruns on tonight, which I’m not understanding, as you would think after last night’s big night, people will be staying in, nursing their sugar rush hangover. At least I am, but I think my hangover comes more from the Malibu Coconut.

1. Airplane! I think I have finally found all the hidden jokes in this movie, but it took me many times of watching it before I stopped finding new ones. And yes, Shirley, I am serious. 10:45 AM CT HBO Comedy

2. 2001: A Space Odyssey. Now seven, almost eight years after the fact, it’ll be interesting to see what they thought forty years ago our lives would be like today. 1:00 PM CT Turner Classic Movies

3. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. If you’d rather watch a good Lindsay Loan movie than listen to gossip, this is a good one. Or, if you’re like me, do both. Follow the gossip and watch her films. 1:30 PM CT ABC Family

4. College Football. Texas at Texas Tech. There’s going to be a real battle in this state tonight, as both teams are unbeaten. 7:07 PM CT ABC

5. Cops. Finally a new episode. We haven’t had one in several weeks, although sometimes I question if they really are new episodes or just the same stupid criminals again and again. 7:00 PM CT Fox

6. America’s Most Wanted. Featured is the hunt for the “Grim Sleeper,” thought to be responsible for the deaths of eleven people, with ten of them being women, in Los Angeles. Also, the hunt for a homeless man’s killer. 8:00 PM CT Fox

7. 27 Dresses. I’ll be watching this tonight. Somehow I missed this when it was out in theaters, but this romantic comedy looks right up my alley. Stars Katherine Heigl. 7:00 PM CT HBO East

8. 48 Hours Mystery.
73-year-old Texas millionaire Charlie White, Sr., is investigated. His son Darin is the main suspect. 9:00 PM CT ABC

9. Georgia Rule. Why not just have ourselves a Lindsay Lohan film fest tonight? After starting off with her in Confessions, of which I’m sure she has a few, let’s end it with this movie she stars in with Jane Fonda. Both are extremely good in this drama that shows how dysfunction gets carried through a family. If you’re a mom and not questioning a few of your decisions after seeing this, you’re in denial. 10:00 PM CT HBO Signature

10. Saturday Night Live. Okay, we can’t truly end there. We have to watch one more thing. I predict this will be one of the best of the year, the weekend before the election. Guest host is Ben Affleck, and the musical guest is American Idol winner David Cook. The commercials of the faux Obama and McCain aping for the camera signaling their voting numbers a la American Idol are hysterical. 10:30 PM CT NBC
