Whats Hot On TV

I missed the first episode of the second season of Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. If you did too, don’t despair, as VH1 has somehow figured out and is re-airing it tonight, along with the second episode. I loved watching them progress through the season last time, especially once they finally dropped all those pretenses and really got down to why they were the way they were.

1. Oprah Winfrey. Oprah, who is well-known for her own weight struggles, has on today as guests the past winners of the the show The Biggest Loser. It’s worth flipping on just to see if they’ve all kept it off. Syndicated, check local listings.

2. Michael. This is absolutely one of my favorite movies of all time, and for a couple of reasons. The first being that it embodies all of my philosophies of life, and the second being that John Travolta’s character reminds me so much of another Michael, my son.  10:30 AM CT Cinemax West

3. The Ellen deGeneres Show. Put away those thermometers. The reason your daughter stayed home from school today is because Zac Efron is on Ellen today. Syndicated, check local listings.

4. Survivor: Gabon - Earth’s Last Eden. With both teams going to tribal council tonight and voting out one from each team, they fight for individual immunity tonight. They also get letters from home tonight, and that’s always good for a good cry. The previews made it seem like Kenny or Cheryl were being voted out tonight, but we know Mark Burnett never tips his hand that much. 7:00 PM CT CBS

5. My Name Is Earl. In a Halloween-themed episode, Earl throws a Halloween party for Dodge and Earl, Jr., while Randy hangs out with Catalina’s nephew who’s into voodoo. 7:00 PM CT NBC

6. Ugly Betty. New U.S. citizen Ignacio gets ready to vote for the first time, and Hilda gets a new customer via the election. Betty’s old rivalry with Kimmie is back, and Wilhelmina continues to irritate Daniel. Guest stars are the story of this episode, though, as Lindsay Lohan is back, although rumors say she may not be around too many more times, Adriana Lima has a cameo, and the original Karate Kid Ralph Machhio checks in as well. Celebrity Today will have full coverage of all of their appearances. 7:00 PM CT ABC

7. Smallville. After Jimmy takes a photo of Clark saving Lois, Clark is afraid his identity will be revealed. He asks Chloe for help in keeping the picture off the front page. 7:00 PM CT CW

8. Kath & Kim. Kath tries to plan a lavish wedding, and starts with her dress, but budgetary woes might stop her plans. Kim goes in the opposite direction, as she considers being with Crag again, because breeding his dog could be profitable. 7:30 PM CT NBC

9. Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. Apparently season two started without me. Here’s my chance to catch up as VH1 replays the first episode. Come to think of it, I missed the first few episodes of season one and had to catch up as well. It must be something about this show. 7:30 PM CT VH1

10. CSI: Crime Scene Navigation. The daughter of a drug lord is murdered after being thrown out of a nightclub, prompting Catherine and Riley to investigate and find more than one blood type in the system of the deceased. Investigating, Catherine finds her daughter at the nightclub with a fake I.D. 8:00 PM CT CBS

11. The Office. Pam is the only one at corporate wearing a costume on Halloween. Dwight gives Andy a hard time, and corporate delivers some shocking news. 8:00 PM CT NBC

12. Grey’s Anatomy. The chief gives power and responsibility to Bailey, as well as a difficult surgical assignment, to remove a girl’s tumor that is inoperable. The new trauma chief challenges the methods and skills of the attendings and physicians. Check in with Celebrity Today for a full recap later in the week.. 8:00 PM CT ABC

13. Supernatural. Summoning a demon thought to be a key of freeing Satan, a witch sacrifices citizens of a small town. Castiel brings in a special angel to stop her. Celebrity Today will let us know in a recap later this week just what all this was about. 8:00 PM CT CW

14. Kitchen Nightmares. Chef Ramsay visits a bar and grill in South Bend, Indiana, that is $1.2 million in debt. He would like them to start using fresher ingredients, but it becomes overwhelming to the cooks. 8:00 PM CT Fox

15. 30 Rock. Finally, this show checks in with its season opener, but what the heck, Tina Fey has been a little busy elsewhere. Liz wants to adopt, but she has to impress the adoption evaluator first. As Devin Banks tries to climb up the corporate ladder, his nemesis, Jack, tangles with him again. 8:30 PM CT NBC

16. Eleventh Hour. When autistic teens throughout the US are kidnapped, only to reappear with savant syndrome weeks later, Hood investigates. 9:00 PM CT CBS

17. ER. An old friend surprises Neela, and Brenner treats a young shooting victim. Sam doesn’t realize Gates is feeling neglected as she focuses on her upcoming pharmacology exam. 9:00 PM CT NBC

18. Life On Mars. Sam deals with the mob when a woman, who is really his mother in the past, is assaulted. He keeps seeming mounting evidence that members of the precinct may be involved in organized crime. 9:00 PM CT ABC

19. Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. Have yourself a marathon tonight if you just caught the first episode for this first time tonight. I’m not sure if I can take that much of Gary Busey in one night, though. 9:00 PM CT VH1
