What’s Hot On TV Tonight - World Series Starts Tonight?
The World Series starts tonight, but you’d never know, as there isn’t a lot of hype surrounding it. Maybe that’s just me, though, living in Chicago, as we’re still all a little miffed neither of our teams made it this far. Or maybe the Pillies and the Rays just don’t raise that much interest. If it’s not your cup of tea, there is plenty else going on.
1. Regis and Kelly. Guests include Olympic gymnastics gold medalist Shawn Johnson and Zac Efron. I’m guessing she’s thanking her lucky stars to be on the show with him. He’s appearing in High School Music 3 and has many exciting things planned for the future. Catch up with him on Celebrity Today. Syndicated, check local listings.
2. The Bonnie Hunt Show. Blair Underwood and Olivia Newton-John are the guests, and I think today might be the day that the garbageman Bonnie had a crush on while growing up, Dukie Marcuchi, finally appears on the show. Let’s see if he’s still anxious to take off his shirt like in the old days. Syndicated, check local listings.
3. The Ellen deGeneres Show. Christian Slater of the hot new show My Own Worst Enemy guests, and I just can’t see him enough. He’s always exciting to see, and to be in a show playing dual roles is even better. Mila Kunis and Jason Mraz guest as well. Syndicated, check local listings.
4. New Adventures of Old Christine. The old clock seems to be ticking for Christine. Ritchie doesn’t tell her he loves her anymore ,prompting her to want a child to love, so she asks Richard to have a baby with her. 7:00 PM CT CBS
5. Knight Rider. Mike pretends to be a Marine to stop a rogue military officer’s scheme to blow up a dam, and he’s helped by a beautiful undercover agent. Want more Knight Rider? Check out Celebrity Today . 7:00 PM CT NBC
6. Pushing Daisies. When a male escort is killed, the prime suspect becomes his socially awkward roommate. Emerson gets a surprise visit from his mom who is also a private investigator. 7:00 PM CT ABC
7. America’s Next Top Model. Whitney Thompson, winner of season 10, gives the aspiring models tips for filming a successful cosmetics commercial. After the elimination, Tyra announces the remaining contestants will be traveling overseas. 7:00 PM CT CW
8. World Series: Game 1: Phillies at Rays. The Rays are making it to the World Series in their first year being in the playoffs at all. 7:00 PM CT Fox
9. Gary Unmarried. Gary gets nervous the more Allison and Vanessa’s friendship grows; she doesn’t want Vanessa’s view of him to be influenced. To stop any of this from happening, he encourages them to make friends with someone else. 7:30 PM CT CBS
10. Criminal Minds. The search is on for a serial killer who stages murders to look like car accidents. At least he’s giving AAA some business. 8:00 PM CT CBS
11. Deal or No Deal. A male nurse from Pennsylvania plays for the million, and to help him out, three are a total of seven suitcases in this game that hold $1,000,000. 8:00 PM CT NBC
12. Private Practice. Charlotte tries to lead Addison to the hospital with promises of surgeries as her relationship with Kevin gets more serious. Sam questions if he can keep Oceanside Wellness afloat, a firefighter patient of Pete’s suffers an odd form of post-traumatic stress disorder, and a patient’s son theaters Violet. 8:00 PM CT ABC
13. Stylista. This reality TV series premiere pits aspiring fashion editors against each other for a job at Elite Magazine. Their first competition is to make breakfast for an Elite editor. Their clothing choices are critiqued, and they’re sent shopping for more. 8:00 PM CT CW
14. Inside the NFL. It was a very wild day last Sunday for us Bears fans, which is good, because they have a bye week next week. It should make for a fun time to watch them on the show this week. 8:00 PM CT Showtime East.
15. CSI: NY. Investigating the murder of a corporate fixer who had his hand in messy situations leads the CSIs into territories of political corruption. 9:00 PM CT CBS
16. Lipstick Jungle. Despite Dahlia’s warnings, Victory plans to meet Rodrigo’s daughter, Kirby gets invited to an event by Nico, and much to Maddie’s chagrin, Wendy focuses her energy on her home life. 9:00PM CT NBC
17. Dirty Sexy Money. Nick guts ready to defend Letitia, and isn’t happy to se his estranged mother’s name on the witness list for the other side. Patrick wants to be honest about Ellen’s death, but Tripp objects, and Brian goes to Brazil to kidnap his son. Dan Rather makes an appearance as moderator, and the Weepies perform. 9:02 PM CT ABC
