0000004202_20060919220202.jpgTonight, as ER moves methodically through its swan song, we lose Abby Lockhart (Maura Tierney), just two episodes after we lost Pratt (Mekhi Phifer). Will there be anything left once they officially end the show in February? We don’t know exactly the circumstances of her departure, but she does have some run-ins with the new chief. If you’re too saddened after saying goodbye, check out Letterman making McCain pay as he finally shows up for his appearance … two weeks late.

1. Erin Brockovich. It was great to see Julia Roberts get her due with this one.
