What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Christian Slater: All Day, All the Time
I’m still tickled pink that Christian Slater is coming to broadcast TV. This film star has a way of making everything exciting, no matter what he’s doing, starting with his part as the truly psychotic kid in Heathers. He’s just so hot whether he’s on TV, movies, or getting arrested for bizarre behavior. He’s a bad boy, and I like it.
1. Regis and Kelly. Randy Jackson is the cohost. Really? Yo, I never would have thought of him as having hosting capabilities, Dawg. The best part, though, is the guest. Christian Slater. I will watch him anywhere, any time … Syndicated, check local listings.
2. Jaws. They have all the sequels on today as well, but we all know the originals are usually the best, and this one sticks to the old standard. The only suggestion I have is if you’re planning a beach vacation in the near future, skip this one. 11:00 AM CT Cinemax West
3. Rachel Ray. For you kids that are looking for something to do on your day off of school, Miranda Cosgrove will be on today, and will go backstage to see the Naked Brothers Band. Syndicated, check local listings.
4. The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Mark Wahlberg is on promoting his movie Max Payne, and Cody Linley of Hannah Montana and Julianne Hough, dancing partners on Dancing With the Stars, also appear. Syndicated, check local listings.
5. The Big Bang Theory. After getting some fame from a magazine article, Raj, with his ego pumped, tries to win over Penny, risking his friendship with Leonard. 7:00 PM CT CBS
6. Chuck. Sarah’s ex returns, and the two pretend to be a current couple, and an overly affectionate one at that. Morgan faces strip mall bullies at the Buy More. Michael Strahan guest stars. 7:00 PM CT NBC
7. Dancing With the Stars. There’s definitely some dancers on the bubble tonight, and they know who they are. Rocco deSpirito and Karina Smirnoff would have gone home last week, had it not been for Misty May-Treanor pulling herself out of the competition with an injury. Can Rocco and Karina save themselves tonight? I’m guessing not. We’re still having too much fun with Cloris Leachman. 7:00 PM CT ABC
8. Gossip Girl. The group visits Yale, which happens to be where Blair would most like to go, and Serena feigns interest, just to get on Blair’s nerves. While there, Dan finds that his recommendation letters were never submitted to the school. 7:00 PM CT CW
9. MLB Playoff: Game 4: Phillies at Dodgers. Can Los Angeles tie it up? Philadelphia leads the series 2-1 after Los Angeles finally came in with a win Sunday night. 7:00 PM CT Fox
10. How I Met Your Mother. Ted finds the group abandoned plans for an intervention for his engagement to Stella, but he becomes insistent they move ahead with their plans. 7:00 PM CT CBS
11. Monday Night Football: Giants at Browns. This one probably isn’t going to be the nail biter they figured it for when they planned the schedule. New York is unbeaten and Cleveland has only won one game so far this season. 7:30 PM CT ESPN
12. Two and a Half Men. Alan worries how it will all turn out when Charlie begins romancing Alan’s receptionist. 8:00 PM CT CBS
13. Heroes. Claire searches for a Level 5 escapee with an ability to create black holes, Peter recognizes changes in himself after fleeing the future, Ando worries about Hiro’s decision to make friends with Daphne and Knox, Suresh attempts to fix research mistakes, and Linderman encourages Tracy and Nathan to pair up. 8:00 PM CT NBC
14. One Tree Hill. Lucas heads for his book tour along with someone familiar. A basketball opportunity causes Nathan to question his own health, Haley helps a student, and Peyton and Mick fight about his identity. 8:00 PM CT CW
15. Worst Week. This show cracks me up every single episode. The secrets Mel and Sam, aka the ne’er-do-well, have been hiding are finally found out by her family. 8:30 PM CT CBS
16. Samantha Who? In this season premiere, Sam partners with her mom in a dance competition which has them competing against Regina’s nemesis who has a ringer for a partner. Todd continues his search for an apartment. Cybill Shepherd and Mark Ballas (professional from Dancing With the Stars) guest star. 8:30 PM CT ABC
17. CSI: Miami. Horatio’s team clashes with the Russian mob while investigating a double murder in the Everglades. 9:00 PM CT CBS
18. My Own Worst Enemy. It’s finally the series premiere of this new show. This is the one show I was waiting for the most, and it ends up being one of the last ones to start. Christian Slater stars as a man leading a double life of regular every day joe and a spy. 9:00 PM CT NBC
19. Boston Legal. An old girlfriend hires Alan to help her husband beat a murder rap, and as he faces the fact he still has some remaining feelings for her, he faces a dilemma, both moral and professional, because he secretly wishes for a confession. Y’know, that’s just not good. 9:00 PM CT ABC
20. Late Night With Conan O’Brien. Christian Slater is a guest, and I have to ask why he appears a few hours after his show debuted. Why not have him on before so that people can know to watch it? Surely everyone out there wasn’t waiting for it to start, just because I was, and could have used the knowledge and preview of it beforehand. 11:35 PM CT NBC
