What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Road Trip on The Biggest Loser
Tonight we’ll see who will be voted off Dancing With the Stars, and I just hope it’s not Cloris Leachman. We also have Biggest Loser: Families traveling to the Grand Canyon. Now that’ll be a hefty hike! We also have some great dramas on tonight, as well as opportunity knocking once again, thanks to JD Roth and Ashton Kutcher.
1. The Today Show. Sarah Ferguson, known previously as Fergie way before the other became well-known as part of the Black-Eyed Peas, and Kellie Pickler. I enjoyed Kellie on American Idol, and after hearing her CD and getting a chance to interview her, I found a whole new appreciation for her. 7:00 PM CT NBC
2. Oprah Winfrey. The day before Breast Cancer Awareness month starts, Christina Applegate is the guest, talking about her double mastectomy. She’s a great spokeswoman, as she’s so young, proving it could happen to anyone. Syndicated, check local listings.
3. The View. Bill Maher is on, and I think he has a neverending supply of material right now. Also on is Dr. Drew Pinsky, as Celebrity Rehab is starting up again on October 23. 10:00 AM CT ABC
4. Mrs. Doubtfire. “Helloooo!” It’s somewhat unbelievable at times that his family wouldn’t recognize him once he puts on a rubber face and a wig, but regardless, this movie is always a lot of fun. 10:30 AM CT HBO Family
5. Rachel Ray. Well this ought to be very interesting … First off, Jamie Lee Curtis is on promoting her new children’s book as well as Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and secondly, Jerry O’Connell is on, most likely promoting his new show, Do Not Disturb. The thing is, the show was canceled already last week. How will they handle that? Syndicated, check local listings.
6. NCIS. A mysterious suicide aboard an aircraft carrier is investigated, turning up that it might be a part of a bigger, deadlier plan. 7:00 PM CT CBS
7. The Biggest Loser: Families. Tonight the families travel to the Grand Canyon and have to make do without trainers or a gym. You can be sure they’ll be hiking quite a bit. I don’t picture them being allowed to ride on donkeys like on The Brady Bunch. 7:00 PM CT NBC
8. Opportunity Knocks. This is a great new family game show. This week’s family has possible Hannah Montana tickets in their prize collection, and Keith Jackson does play by play for one of the family members as they answer questions. My son wondered if they knock on our door if we should do it, so I advised him to make sure his room is clean … just in case. 7:00 PM CT ABC
9. 90210. Annie goes to a fashion show where his mom is working as the photographer, and a film producer approaches her, asking her and Adrianna to auditon. 7:00 PM CT CW
10. House. A struggling artist takes part in drug trials to pay bills and suffers from something that alters his perception, threatening his life. 7:00 PM CT Fox
11. The Mentalist. Another new offering on Tuesday nights that I really like. Tonight, the murder of a waitress in Napa Valley is probed. 8:00 PM CT CBS
12. Dancing With the Stars. Who’s going to leave tonight? The three lowest scores last night belonged to Cloris Leachman, Rocco DiSprito, and Kim Kardashian. I thought Cloris was a lock no matter what her score was, but she splayed it serious last night, which wasn’t quite as fun. She might be rewarded for that by going home, but my money is on it being Rocco or Kim. 8:00 PM CT ABC
13. Privileged. Megan finds an adult DVD in Meghan’s book bag, and Rose admits to not being a virgin. 8:00 PM CT CW
14. Fringe. This is definitely the freakiest new show on TV. It’s so weird how it at times plays out like a movie. Tonight they investigate a mysterious cylinder, the only remainder of an explosion in New York City. 8:00 PM CT Fox
15. Without a Trace. A female retail store executive is abducted from a cab after attending a party. 9:00 PM CT CBS
16. Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. A confession is made by a teenage boy that he has pedophilic desires for his younger stepbrother. He also admits to visiting a self-help website for pedophiles. Self help like get better or self help like take your pick? 9:00 PM CT NBC
17. Half Their Size: The People Magazine Weight Loss Challenge. This follows eight Mississipians over nine months as they took on the weight loss challenge. No surgery or gimmicks are involved here, just plain old-fashioned diet and exercise. 9:00 PM CT ABC
18. Late Night With David Letterman. Ann Hathaway and The Virgins. Sounds like she’s the leader of the group, but she’s not. Ann is promoting her movie Rachel Getting Married. 10:35 PM CT CBS
19. Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Ellen deGeneres and Jerry O’Connell. Again with Jerry O’Connell making an appearance. Will he show for these? It’ll be nice to see Ellen on the other side of the desk for a change. 10:35 PM CT NBC
20. Late Show With Conan O’Brien. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Michael Cera. Cera is promoting the new film Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist. 11:35 PM CT NBC
21. Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jon Favreau, Elvis Costello, and whoever is voted off Dancing With the Stars tonight. 12:05 PM CT ABC
