What’s Hot On TV Tonight - What Will Cloris Do Next?

Published by laurabelle at 3:15 am under Programming Edit This

31.jpgWho would have thought Cloris Leachman at 82 years old would become water cooler talk? Nevertheless her outrageous antics on Dancing With the Stars have put her there. I don’t think she’ll be leaving the show anytime soon, as I’m sure many people are voting for her for just the plain entertainment value. I expect even more people will tune in to see her tonight, as some that would normally not watch the show will just turn it on to see her.

1. Early Show.
Jewel and Bill Maher are the guests. I saw Maher in concert this summer, and you can bet he has a lot of thngs to say about the current political climate, and this was before we had even heard of Sarah Palin. 7:00 AM CT CBS

2. Today Show. Jenny McCarthy and Jennifer Hudson. McCarthy was on Oprah last week with boyfriend Jim Carrey, promoting a book on parenting her child with autism, and she is just an amazing person. She is much differnet than the girl we saw on MTV a decade ago, or at least she seems so. 7:00 AM CT NBC

3. The View. Jennifer Hudson is making another appearance here, as well as Disney’s Selena Gomez and one-time View cohost Lisa Ling. Ling is promoting a report on heroin in the midwest that will be on Nightline tonight. 10:00 AM CT ABC

4. Weekend at Bernie’s. I don’t know what it is about this movie. It’s incredibly silly, but I guess sometimes in life you just need “silly.” The dead guy’s head hitting the buoy over and over never fails to amuse me. 2:30 PM CT HBO Comedy

5. The Ellen deGeneres Show.
Lance Bass and his professional dancing partner, Lacey Schwimmer, from Dancing With the Stars are on, and I hope Ellen gets to the bottom of this. I want to know why DWTS doesn’t mention that Lacey was a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance. Syndicated, check local listings.

6. The Big Bang Theory. Leonard gets jealous about Penny’s new guy and takes up with Leslie in a rebound thing. 7:00 PM CT CBS

7. Chuck. One of the few season openers tonight that pits Chuck against Michael Duncan Clarke in a guest role. He figures his spy gig is over and asks Sarah out. 7:00 PM CT NBC

8. Dancing With the Stars. Ted McGinley left surprisingly early last week, and Jeffrey Ross not so surprisingly. One thing’s for sure tonight, Cloris Leachman will be a hoot once again, and probalby isn’t going anywhere. 7:00 PM CT ABC

9. Gossip Girl. Elena gives Serena and her new friend, Poppy, seats to Fashion Week, and Blair isn’t too happy about it. 7:00 PM CT CW

10. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Cameron loses her memory after a software glitch and ends up in a halfway house. 7:00 PM CT Fox

11. How I Met Your Mother. During his search for where he ate his very first New York burger, Marshall runs into none other than Regis Philbin. 7:30 PM CT CBS

12. Monday Night Football: Ravens and Steelers. 2-0 Baltimore meets up with 2-1 Pittsburgh. It’s the first time for these young AFC coaches to face off against each other. 7:30 PM CT ESPN

13. Two and a Half Men.
Charlie gets a loan from Alan, then tries to get the money back afterwards. 8:00 PM CT CBS

14. Heroes. Angela is recruited by Noah Bennet and partner to help with a bank hostage situation. Hiro and  Ando run into the Haitian. 8:00 PM CT NBC

15. One Tree Hill. Nathan gets an offer from a basketball team in the pros, and Haley puts Jamie’s life in danger unknowingly. 8:00 PM CT CW

16. Prison Break. Mahone transcribes the fourth card at a racetrack, but is arrested for being in a restricted area with the transcription device still on him. 8:00 PM CT Fox

17. Worst Week. Sam has a mishap with Dick’s birds while trying to charm Angela to get on Dick’s good side. 8:00 PM CT CBS

18. CSI: Miami. A crime wave begins in Miami over rising fuel prices. The scary thing is this probably isn’t all that fictional. 9:00 PM CT CBS

19. Life. The other season opener tonight has Crews and Reese tracking a serial kiler that is putting his victims in trunks and leaving them at select spots around the city. 9:00 PM CT NBC

20. Boston Legal. Denny has a close call involving prescription drugs, and this has Alan going after a pharmaceutical company for its unscrupulous advertising tactics. 9:00 PM CT ABC

21. Late Show With David Letterman. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Michael Cera. Cera is promoting his film Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist which looks like a must-see. 10:35 PM CT CBS
