What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Knight Rider is Back While The Hoff Is Busy

nup_108686_1002.jpgIt’s an interesting lineup on tonight. Knight Rider is back on the air, but David Hasselhoff is busy judging America’s Got Talent. We also have the second couple this week being eliminated on Dancing With the Stars, but most of us are just looking at it as another excuse to see Cloris Leachman.

1. Oprah Winfrey. Guests are Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, who have been dating for some time. I’ve only seen them talking about dating each other, so I’d like to see them actually together. I’m just a little skeptical, as he’s been with a lot of women. Syndicated, check local listings.

2. Regis and Kelly. Richard Gere is on promoting his movie Nights of Rodanthe. It’ll be nice to see him promoting this instead of Diane Lane for a change. Nothing against her, it’ll just be nice to see him. Syndicated, check local listings.

3. The View. Alec Baldwin is on discussing his recent book about fathers and divorce, which is, I think, the third outlet so far for this. I’m guessing he’ll also possibly discuss his part in My Best Friend’s Girl (expertly cast, I’ll add) and probably his Emmy win the other night as well. Check your local listings for time. ABC

4. The Bonnie Hunt Show. Jamie Lee Curtis is a guest, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her on a talk show when I haven’t enjoyed her. She’s just always herself and so comfortably so, and will probably be even more so with Bonnie. Syndicated, check your local listings.

5. The Ellen deGeneres Show. Sharon Osbourne will be on, most likely discussing the final five on America’s Got Talent tonight. Ellen mentioned in her newsletter for the show that she made Sharon promise not to curse this time. Will she keep her promise? Syndicated, check local listings.

6. New Adventures of Old Christine. This season opener has Christine proposing to Barb to keep her from being deported. 7:00 PM CT CBS

7. Knight Rider. It’s back, minus the Hoff. Mike and Kitt get ready to deliver a top secret package in this series opener. 7:00 PM CT NBC

8. Dancing With the Stars. Jeffrey Ross and Edyta Slawinska were voted off at the last minute last night. Who will be voted off tonight? I thought they were a lock on getting voted out last night, but tonight seems a little wider open. 7:00 PM CT ABC

9. America’s Next Top Model. The aspiring models practice walking down the aisle with blindfolds. 7:00 PM CT CW

10. Bones. The murder of a reclusive sci-fi writer with OCD is investigated. Why does everyone always pick on the writers? 7:00 PM CT Fox

11. Gary Unmarried. Jay Mohr stars as a divorced dad in this series premiere, and tonight he finds out his ex is remarrying. 7:30 PM CT CBS

12. Criminal Minds. Season opener follows in the aftermath of a bombing in New York City as they hunt for terrorists. 8:00 PM CT CBS

13. America’s Got Talent. This is what the Hoff is doing instead of Knight Rider these days. Tonight the final five perform as we vote for the winner of the show. I think it’s really wide open at this point. 8:00 PM CT NBC

14. David Blaine: Dive of Death. Blaine is planning on hanging upside down and walking on a wire five stories in the air with no safety net. I think we need to get him and Criss Angel on a stunt-off. 8:00 PM CT ABC

15. ‘Til Death.
Kenny becomes Joy’s “girlfriend” when he’s the only one that will listen to her and her problems. 8:00 PM CT Fox

16. Inside the NFL. A look back at the week in pro football. I can’t look after yet another Bears loss. 8:00 PM CT Showtime East

17. Do Not Disturb. The employees impress their bosses trying to get performance bonuses, as the owners of the inn arrive to stay for the weekend. 8:30 PM CT Fox

18. CSI: NY. In the series premiere, Mac is abducted by a bank robber and wakes up in a submerged car. 9:00 PM CT CBS

19. Lipstick Jungle. Yet another series opener. Nora considers coming clean about her affair, Mary Tyler Moore makes an appearance as Wendy’s mother, and Rosie Perez plays a publicist. I just can’t imagine her being a publicist. 9:00 PM CT NBC

20. Late Night With David Letterman. John McCain makes an appearance, if you’re not too tired of hearing about the election yet. 10:35 PM CT CBS

21. Jimmy Kimmel Live. The latest castoff from Dancing With the Stars is on. I wonder if they’ll have on whoever is voted off tonight, along with Jeffrey Ross, voted off last night.
