What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Opportunity Knocks With More Premieres

Published by laurabelle at 8:20 am under Programming Edit This

031.jpgYou want more season and series premieres? We’ve got ‘em. Again, every major network features new programming throughout the night, which is definitely refreshing. Dancing With the Stars just premiered last night, but is already kicking someone off and dancing again. I just want more Cloris Leachman.

1. Regis and Kelly. Diane Lane is on promoting her movie with Nights In Rodanthe. I’ve been watching the previews for this forever. I just want to see it already! Syndicated, check local listings.

2. Rachel Ray. Celine Dion is on, but also a tour of Ty Pennington’s apartment. Don’t you just kind of wonder what his place looks like? Syndicated, check local listings.

3. The Bonnie Hunt Show. Benjamin Bratt from The Closer, along with Mekhi Phifer of ER. I want to hear from him about this last season of ER. He’s so definitively Dr. Pratt, I just can’t imagine him in another role. Syndicated, check local listings.

5. Georgia Rule. Just an awesome movie starring Jane Fonda and Lindsay Lohan. It shows how things like alcoholism and abuse carry through in patterns through a family. I challenge any child or parent not to walk out examining your own familial relationships. I left the theatre and apologized to my kids. 1:30 PM Cinemax West

6. Come On Get Happy: Partridge Family Story. This is the story of how that all went down in the eyes of Danny Bonaduce. Yeah, we know the guy as being whacked out right now, but this will tell us why. I will never forget seeing him as the host of a short-lived talk show about ten years or so ago. The guests were the son and father with the dad being a cross-dresser. Someone in the audience called him a horrible father, and Danny said he would have rather had his dad wearing women’s clothes then beating the crap out of him every day. It was just such a strong statement, that I will never forget. 1:45 PM Encore 2

7. The Ellen deGeneres Show. Allison Janney is a guest, and she is always a total riot when she’s on with Ellen. They always do the weirdest competitions/games with each other, as they’re both highly competitive. Syndicated, check local listings.

8. NCIS. Star Mark Harmon was on The Bonnie Hunt Show yesterday and was absolutely adorable. Tonight they investigate the murder of a Navy petty officer. 7:00 PM CT CBS

9. The Biggest Loser: Families. I don’t normally like the partner versions of this show, but last week was great. This week Rocco DiSpirito, currently on Dancing With the Stars, will coach them in cooking healthy, affordable meals. 7:00 PM CT NBC

10. Opportunity Knocks. Series premiere for this game show hosted by J.D. Roth, where families are approached at the door, asking them to appear on the show and answer questions about each other to win prizes. 7:00 PM PM CT ABC

11. 90210. Annie and Ty are growing much closer, but her parents aren’t too sure about this, thinking things are progressing too quickly. 7:00 PM CT CW

12. House. House investigates why everyone that received organ donors from the same recipient are suddenly dying. 7:00 PM CT Fox

13. The Mentalist. Series premiere of this show about a psychic that helps solve crimes. It looks good, although it isn’t a totally novel idea. 8:00 PM CT CBS

14. Dancing With the Stars. Last night was terrific! Cloris Leachman stole the show. Tonight someone will be voted out before they dance their second dance in two days. I’m thinking there’s a good chance it will be Jeffrey Ross, despite his eye injury. Which is sad, as I want Edyta Slawinska to win just once! 8:00 PM CT ABC

15. Privileged. Rose finds she has to repeat freshman year because of low grades, but Megan visits the school’s headmaster trying to change his mind, 8:00 PM CT CW

16. Fringe. This is definitely the freakiest new show on TV. When a bus load of people all die, the team finds a person who can predict pattern-based crimes. 8:00 PM CT Fox

17. Without a Trace. Another season premiere, they search for a man whose daughter disappeared years earlier. 9:00 PM CT CBS

18. Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. A 7 year old boy accuses his foster parents of doing abusive medical testing. That makes my face scrunch up just reading it. 9:00 PM CT NBC

19. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Wanda Sykes is on, and really, who does not love her? She never ceases to crack me up. 10:35 PM CT NBC

20. Late Night With Conan O’Brien. Billy Bob Thornton is a guest, promoting his new film Eagle Eye. Would you ever think someone could become a big name star with a name like Billy Bob? 11:35 PM CT NBC

21. Jimmy Kimmel Live. Lock up your daughters, young and old. Dane Cook is on promoting My Best Friend’s Girl and the Sprouse twins are on as well.
