What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Heroes Make Their Return
Finally, instead of having to fill up the viewing list with favorite movies, due to absolutely no new programming on other than a nugget here and there, we have a night where every major network has new programming on all night. We hit the lottery. Most importantly, Heroes finally makes its return, ending the speculation of who shot Nathan. And, Dancing With the Stars is back as well with some great new celebrities.
1. Early Show. You know you’re really searching for material when you air a whole show about the Emmys which didn’t even air on your network. Highlights of the Emmys are featured, as well as where you can get cheaper versions of some of the fashions seen at the Emmys. And honestly? There weren’t any last night that were that hideous. 7:00 AM CT CBS
2. Live From the Red Carpet: 2008 Emmy Awards. I’m not quite sure why they didn’t air this on Sunday night before the Emmys, but are instead airing this this morning. Maybe it was an agreement mapped out between E! and ABC to now go against their programming or something. Actually it did air earlier, but not until midnight, so this is much more accessible. 7:00 AM CT E!
3.Rachel Ray. Senator John McCain and wife Cindy are the guests. I’m guessing Ray won’t be getting all tough on them and will keep it geared to the fluff. 2:00 PM CT Syndicated, check local listings.
4. The Big Bang Theory. In tonight’s season opener, Penny leans on Sheldon, discussing her date with Leonard. 7:00 PM CT CBS
5. Heroes. You thought it was starting now? No, wait another hour. This is just a countdown to the real thing. 7:00 PM CT NBC
6. Dancing With the Stars. The season finally starts with some of the best stars we’ve seen so far. Susan Lucci, Lance Bass, and Cloris Leachman look to be a lot of fun this season. 7:00 PM CT ABC
7. Gossip Girl. Dan gets very acquainted with the new chick, and Vanessa sets a plan of sabotage in motion. 7:00 PM CT CW
8. Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. Sarah and Derek devise a plan to rescue Charlie’s wife. 7:00 PM CT Fox
9. How I Met Your Mother. Yet another season opener as Stella answers Ted’s proposal, and Barney comes to realize he’s in love with Robin. 7:30 PM CT CBS
10. Monday Night Football. Jets at Chargers. Brett Favre is 1-1 with his new team, the New York Yets. How will he do facing the San Diego Chargers who are winless? Coming from a Bears fan, Favre was always pretty good on Monday nights. 7:30 PM CT ESPN
11. Two and a Half Men. Yet another season opener as Charlie runs into an ex-girlfriend who looks way too much like his son. 8:00 PM CT CBS
12. Heroes. The main event. This summer, people weren’t wondering who shot J.R., but who shot Nathan. Find out tonight. 8:00 PM CT NBC
13. One Tree Hill. Lucas has difficulties inspiring his team and Haley checks into Dan’s disappearance. 8:00 PM CT CW
14. Prison Break. Don Self finds another card to a safe in a Los Angeles federal office building. 8:00 PM CT Fox
15. Worst Week. The series premiere of this comedy that seems similar to Meet the Parents. Tonight, Sam Briggs meets Melanie’s parents and announce they’re engaged … and pregnant. 8:30 PM CT CBS
16. CSI: Miami. Another season premiere and another shooting. Is this more indicative of our television viewing habits or society in general? 9:00 PM CT CBS
17. Boston Legal. The season premiere for what will be the last season of this series. Alan helps out in a suit against a tobacco company. 9:00 PM CT ABC
18. Dr. 90210. One family prepares for their first child, while another learns they’re having another child. 9:00 PM CT E!
19. Late Night With David Letterman. Bill Clinton is the guest, prompting me to wonder if he’ll play his sax again. 10:35 PM CT CBS
20. Late Night With David Letterman. Diane Lane, promoting Nights of Rodanthe, makes an appearance. The movie is definitely on my list for the weekend. 11:35 PM CT NBC
21. Jimmy Kimmel Live. Shia LeBeouf, January Jones of Mad Men, and Nelly are the guests. I just want to hear from Shia his take on what happened with his accident. 12:05 AM CT ABC
