What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Tennis, Fugitives, and a Waitress
Staying in this Saturday night? Here’s some good TV choices for you.
1. U.S. Open Tennis Tournament. The final two females pairing off. I won’t be watching as it’s like watching paint dry … well grunting paint dry … to me. 7:00 CT on CBS
2. NASCAR Racing: Sprint Cup in Richmond. This is a little more up to speed for me. I enjoy racing, especially at night under the lights. This is the Chevy Rock ‘n Roll 400. I don’t watch NASCAR much after my favorite driver left, but I just might have to check this one out. 7:00 CT on ABC
3. Cops. Hard to believe they’ve been chasing criminals for our enjoyment for twenty-one years, but they have. They open the new season tonight with two shows out of Florida. 7:00 and 7:30 CT on Fox
4. America’s Most Wanted. And this show has been on for twenty-two years. Featured are the recent prison break in New Mexico and a missing Chicago surgeon wanted for insurance fraud and malpractice and a Trenton, New Jersey man wanted for arson which killed his brother. 8:00 CT on Fox
5. Jeff Dunham: Spark of Insanity. If my son didn’t own the DVD, I’d be watching this for sure. The ventriloquist behind Achmed, Peanut, Walter, Melvin the Superhero, and Jose Jalapeno On a Stick in concert. 7:30 PM on Comedy Central.
6. Waitress: Definitely one of the best movies of 2007. Keri Russell stars in this film of a waitress with an abusive husband who dreams of getting away, then finds herself pregnant by him. Sadly, the writer behind this film died before she saw this movie hit the big screen. 8:00 CT on HBO Signature.
7. Reign Over Me: I’m not normally a big Adam Sandler fan, but this is by far his best ever, starring as a widower that can’t get on with his life. Don Cheadler also stars, but it’s hard to notice him over Sandler’s superb acting. 7:00 PM on Starz 3
